Toy Breeds Fractures andOrthopaedic Conditions

This Master Course gives participants theopportunity to develop and refine their skills invarious areas of Orthopaedics and Traumatologyin Small and Toy breed dogs, including longbones and articular fracture assessment, fractureplanning, fracture repair with conventional andlocking innovative micro implants. Among thehot topics, elbow fractures, sacro iliac luxationand acetabular fractures will be discussedThe faculty will combine short revision lecturesnteractive case-based group discussions,practical sessions on fracture assessment andplanning, laboratory practical sessions,andinteractive review sessions in order to maximizethe opportunities for participants to learn newtechniques and innovativeorthopaedic concepts.During a series of dry and wet Labs the
participants will familiarize with state-of-the-artdedicated micro implants and will have theopportunity to perform fracture repair onfractures that can be chosen from an “a la cartemenu”, meaning that, according to their skillsthe participant can chose between simple ormore challenging cases.
